Mount Magnificent Conservation Park

Mount Magnificent Conservation Park is a protected area in South Australia located in the Mount Lofty Ranges about Lua error in Module:Convert at line 272: attempt to index local 'cat' (a nil value). south of the centre of Adelaide. The conservation park comprises 90 ha of remnant bushland. The major feature of the conservation park is the 380m high Mount Magnificent.[2] There is a walking track running east - west through the conservation park, as well as an easy trail to the top of Mount Magnificent. All of this track is part of the Heysen Trail and links Finniss Conservation Park to the east, and Kyeema Conservation Park to the northwest. The walk through the conservation park requires moderate levels of fitness with valleys and rises. The last part to the Mt Magnificent Summit is particularly steep. The conservation park is a good site to see Western Grey Kangaroos in a near native habitat.[3] The conservation park is classified as an IUCN Category III protected area.[4] The conservation park is located within the gazetted locality of Mount Magnificent.[5]
