The NCAS performs research into climate change, air quality, weather and atmospheric modelling. [4][5] NCAS employs over 130 members of staff across 19 organisations, and is head quartered at the University of Leeds [6][7]
Organisation
The NCAS is organised into the following structural units:[1]
- NCAS-Climate
- NCAS-Weather
- NCAS-Composition
- The Facility for Airborne Atmospheric Measurements (FAAM)
- The Universities' Facilities for Atmospheric Measurement (UFAM)
- The British Atmospheric Data Centre (BADC)
- Computational Modelling Services (CMS)
