Navona Records

Navona Records (founded 2008) is an American independent record label based in the Seacoast region of New Hampshire owned by PARMA Recordings. Navona's sister companies via PARMA include the Ravello, Big Round, MMC, and Capstone Records label imprints, and the label is distributed by Naxos. Navona's catalog focuses on orchestral, chamber, and choral music with an emphasis on new music and living composers.[1]

Artists & Releases

Notable artists whose work appears on Navona include Grammy-winning clarinetist Richard Stoltzman, Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Lewis Spratlan, New York Philharmonic concertmaster Glenn Dicterow, and Emmy-winning conductor Gerard Schwarz.

The label's releases have received favorable notices from press outlets such as Gramophone,[2] AllMusic Guide,[3] Chicago Tribune,[4] and more.

In January 2012, Navona Records will release Method Music, a double album consisting of electronic music created by Lawrence Ball and produced by Pete Townshend and Bob Lord. The album is a part of Townshend's ongoing Lifehouse project and was created using the Lifehouse Method.[5]
