Puliyur Subramaniam Narayanaswamy also spelt Narayanaswami (born February 24, 1934 in Konerirajapuram Thanjavur in Madras Presidency) is a Carnatic music vocalist. He learnt music from Tiruppambaram Somasundaram Pillai, T. M. Tyagarajan and later from Semmangudi Srinivasa Iyer. He awarded the Bala Gana Kala Rathnam at the age of 12. He worked in All India Radio.[1] In 2000, he was conferred the title, `Sangeetha Kala Acharya' by the Music Academy. The `Padma Bhushan' awarded to him by the Government of India in 2003.[2][3][4][5]
