Patchoulol or patchouli alcohol (C₁₅H₂₆O) is a sesquiterpene alcohol found in Patchouli. The (−)-optical isomer is one of the organic compounds responsible for the typical patchouli scent. Patchoulol is also used in the synthesis of the chemotherapy drug Taxol.
