Petrophile plumosa is a shrub endemic to Western Australia.[1]

The erect compact shrub typically grows to a height of 0.3 to 1.3 metres (1.0 to 4.3 ft). It blooms between July and November producing yellow flowers.

It is found on sand plains and hills in the Wheatbelt region of Western Australia around Victoria Plains where it grows in loamy soils over laterite.[1]
