Philippa Lowthorpe
Philippa Lowthorpe (born 27 December 1961) is a film and television director from Market Rasen.[1] Her credits include Jamaica Inn, Call the Midwife, for which she won a British Academy Television Craft Award in 2013,[2] Five Daughters (2010), Beau Brummell: This Charming Man (2006), and The Other Boleyn Girl (2003). A 2013 interview with her appears on the BAFTA website.[3] and she received a British Film Institute award in 2013.[4] She is currently making her feature film directing debut with Swallows and Amazons.[5]
Early life
She attended De Aston School in Market Rasen from 1973, which for one year hence continued as a coeducational grammar school.
