A qubba or qubbat—also written ḳubba, kubbet, koubba, &c.—is an Arabic tomb, particularly the domed shrines of Islamic saints.
It originally meant a tent of hides[2] but may also be used generally for tomb sites if they are places of pilgrimage.[3]
It can also be used for the dome of the tomb or as a word for any "dome",[4] such as the Dome of the Rock (Arabic: Qubbat al-Sachra).
