Rainy Cocoa (雨色ココア Ameiro Cocoa?) is a bilingual Japanese digital manga series. An anime television series based on the manga began airing in April 2015, and a second season, titled Rainy Cocoa, Welcome to Rainy Color (雨色ココア Rainy colorへようこそ! Ameiro Cocoa Rainy color e Yōkoso!?), began in October 2015. A third season has been green-lit.

Manga

The manga is available in both Japanese and English, and allows the reader to switch between the two languages for both text and audio. According to the creators, the manga's app has been downloaded from the iTunes Store and Google Play in over 50 different countries.[1]

Anime

An television anime adaptation was announced in December 2014.[1] The series is directed by Tomomi Mochizuki, Atsuko Takahashi provides the character designs, and Kaoru Kondou is composing the series' music. The series' theme song, "Rainy Cocoa", is performed by Hiro Shimono.[2] The series began airing on 5 April 2015, and was simulcast in North America by Funimation.[3][4]

A second season was announced in June 2015, titled Rainy Cocoa, Welcome to Rainy Color (雨色ココア Rainy colorへようこそ! Ameiro Cocoa Rainy color e Yōkoso!?). Also announced was a crowdfunding campaign to raise 2 million yen to add more characters and cast members. It premiered on 4 October 2015 on Tokyo MX and Sun TV. It will be accompanied by a live-action segment.[5] The second season was also streamed by Funimation.[6]

A third season was announced in April 2016, and is currently in production.[7]
