Reiss Nelson (born 10 December 1999) is an English professional football player who plays as Forward for Arsenal.[1]
Career
Nelson born on 10 December 1999 in Elephant and Castle, London.[2] Nelson joined Arsenal youth team when he was nine-year-old. Nelson made a great impression to youth coaches and regularly moved up above his age group.[3] Nelson has played 35 games in the Arsenal youth teams, including 9 games in U-21 team in 2016-17 campaign.[4] With impressive performance in the youth team Nelson signed his first professional contract with Arsenal on 10 December 2016 following gis 17th birthday. Eventually, Arsène Wenger included Nelson in the squad for pre-season tour.[5]
On 19 July 2017, Nelson made his first senior appearance for Arsenal against Bayern Munich in 2017 International Champions Cup pre-season match.[6]
International career
In May 2016, Nelson was part of the England national under-17 football team that reached the quarter-finals of the 2016 UEFA European Under-17 Championship, playing four games and scoing three goals.[7]
