Robert Bundtzen 2009 Iditarod, Anchorage Ceremonial Start
Robert Bundtzen (born 1949) is an American dog musher from Anchorage, Alaska, USA.
Born in North Dakota, U.S., Bundtzen moved to Alaska with his parents when he was 11 years old. Although he started mushing as teenager, it was in 1993 that he began to seriously compete. In 1995, in his Iditarod debut, he finished 40th. His best position was in 1997 where he came in 27th. His best time is 10 days, 15 hours, 25 minutes set in 2006.
In 1984, Bundtzen began his own business as an infectious disease consultant.
