The Roman Catholic Diocese of Manado (Latin: Manadoën(sis)) is a diocese located in the city of Manado in the Ecclesiastical province of Makassar in Indonesia. The cathedral of Manado, the Cathedral Church of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (Gereja Hati Tersuci Maria), with its European architectural styles, unique bell towers, and topped with a beautiful central cupola, is located on the iconic Sam Ratulangi Street.

Its service area covers the administrative provinces of North Sulawesi, Gorontalo and Central Sulawesi.

History

• November 19, 1919: Established as the Apostolic Prefecture of Celebes from the Apostolic Vicariate of Batavia
• February 1, 1934: Promoted as the Apostolic Vicariate of Celebes
• April 13, 1937: Renamed as Apostolic Vicariate of Manado
• January 3, 1961: Promoted as Diocese of Manado
