Shane McInerney (born 19 October 1970) is an Australian rules football field umpire in the Australian Football League. He has umpired 327 career games in the AFL, as of the completion of 2011 AFL season.[1]

He umpired in the 2007 AFL Grand Final alongside Scott McLaren and Stephen McBurney.

Shane is perhaps most famous for the contentious free kick paid to Jack Anthony who was grabbed on the arm by Ben Rutten as Andy Otten took a mark in the 2009 AFL Semi-Final that cost the Adelaide Crows Football Club the match in the dying seconds of play. This decision was later proven to be correct and obvious.[2]
