Shigeru Omi

Lua error in package.lua at line 80: module 'strict' not found. Shigeru Omi (b. June 11, 1949) is the current Regional Director of the Western Pacific Regional Office for the World Health Organization.[1] He was born in Tokyo in 1949 and currently lives in Manila.
He is credited with the eradication of polio in the 37 countries in the Western Pacific Region in 2000.[2]
He was a candidate for Director-General of the WHO but Margaret Chan was appointed instead.
