Shunno is a Alternative rock band from Bangladesh forsection 2007.[1][2][3] They have released four albums and few singles.[4][5]

Formation

Shunno was first formed by Shaker (guitarist) and Emil (vocalist). Soon enough, two additions had been made into the lineup - Michael on bass and Tanim on the drums. After continuing for a few months, Tanim became unable to continue working in the band and so, was replaced by Labib as a drummer. They released their first song towards the end of 2007.

Shunno released their first album "Notun Srot" under their own production house, Maroon Music. [6] Shunno then released their album, Shoto Asha. Shunno’s title track from their second album Shoto Asha was chosen by a renowned Telecom company as their theme song for the ICC World Cup 2011. Shunno won the award for Best Band in Popular Choice and Shaker Raza won the Best Sound Engineer in both Popular Choice and Jury Choice.[citation needed] Their third album "Gorbo Bangladesh" was released in September 2011. Their fourth album Bhaago was released in April 2014. They also won the award of the best band of 2009 in the Citycell Awards for their second album "Shoto Asha"[citation needed]
