Stoke City Football Club Under-21s is the most senior of Stoke City's youth teams and the clubs's former and the club's former reserve team. The Under-21 team is effectively Stoke City's second-string side, but is limited to three outfield players and one goalkeeper over the age of 21 per game following the introduction of new regulations from the 2012–13 season.[1] They play in Professional U21 Development League Division 2. The team also competes in the Staffordshire Senior Cup and U21 Premier League Cup.
They play their home matches at the club's main ground, the Britannia Stadium, the Moss Rose in Macclesfield as well as the club's Clayton Wood Training Ground. In previous seasons the team has played at Nantwich Town's Weaver Stadium and Newcastle Town's Lyme Valley Stadium. The Under-21s are managed by Glyn Hodges, whilst the Under-18s are managed by Kevin Russell.
