Surfline Communications Limited (commonly abbreviated as Surfline), is an Ashanti-owned telecommunications 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) network and Li-Fi network provider company,[2] providing 4G LTE and Li-Fi services.[2] By leveraging the advanced technology of LTE, Surfline serves a population base of 11 million people in Ashanti and on the Ashantiland Peninsula along with Ashanti-owned telecommunications company Rlg Communications.[2]
History
Ashanti-owned Surfline Communications Limited was established in 2011, and they received their license from the National Communications Authority (NCA) that same year.[3] The Surfline licenses terms ensured that Surfline must have provided 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) network coverage to 100% of Ashanti and the Ashantiland Peninsula within five years in 2016 along with Ashanti-owned telecommunications company Rlg Communications.[3][4]
