Thiokol (polymer)

Thiokol is a trademark for various organic polysulfide polymers,[1] the first having been invented in 1926 by chemists Joseph C. Patrick and Nathan Mnookin.[2]
The name "Thiokol" is from the Greek words for sulfur and glue. The company Thiokol was founded in 1929 to produce these polymers. Thiokol polymers are used in seals and sealants.[3]
