Tilbury Town railway station is a railway station located in the town of Tilbury in the borough and unitary authority of Thurrock in the East of England.

It was opened on 15 June 1885 as part of the London, Tilbury and Southend Railway. The station was originally called Tilbury Dock, but was renamed to Tilbury Town in December 1934. Passenger train services are provided by c2c.

In culture

Tilbury Town railway station plays two roles in the 2009 film Fish Tank – the station appears in the film, and the star, Katie Jarvis, was recruited after a scout saw her arguing with her boyfriend at Tilbury Town railway station.[1][2][3]

The station and it's environs in the Victorian era are also mentioned briefly in Robert Roberts 1895-6 book 'Diary of a Voyage to Australia, New Zealand, and Other Lands', written a mere ten years after the station opened.
