Tom Johnstone (born 23 August 1995) is an English professional rugby league footballer for Wakefield Trinity in the Super League.[1][2]
With his father in the Army, Johnstone was born in Germany, but has lived in England since he was very young. As a junior he played for Stanningley rugby club. Johnstone attended Pudsey Grangefield School and represented Leeds sprinting team at Indoor athletics.
Playing career
Johnstone is a young winger with lots of pace and flair. He has represented England at under 19's level. He made his professional debut for Featherstone Rovers against Halifax. He scored as Featherstone recorded a 24-12 victory over their Yorkshire rivals. He made his Super League debut for an injury hit Wakefield Wildcats side in their Round 7 defeat to the Wigan Warriors. He played 13 times in his first season at Wakefield, scoring 9 tries. His scored his first Wakefield try against St Helens in a 44-4 defeat.
