Tomasz Dietl (born 1 October 1950) is a Polish physicist, a professor and a head of Laboratory for Cryogenic and Spintronic Research at the Institute of Physics, Polish Academy of Sciences and professor of The Institute of Thoretical Physics at University of Warsaw.[1] His research interest includes semiconductors, spintronics and nanotechnology.[2] With over 20,000 citations he is considered one of the leading Polish physicists.[3]

Career

He graduated from the University of Warsaw at the age of 23 (master's degree) and subsequently obtained his PhD from the Polish Academy of Sciences in 1977. Since then he has been working in the Institute of Physics of the Polish Academy of Sciences.

Personal life

Dietl is married and has two children.
