While on tour in Europe, he impressed Lidkøpings FK, a team in the Swedish Football Division 3, who subsequently signed him (and two other Bridges players) for the 2013 season.[6] With Cantrell's help, Lidkøpings achieved first place in their group and was promoted to Division 2 for the 2014 season.[7]

In March 2014, Cantrell signed with Vasa IFK, who play in Kakkonen, the third division of football in Finland.[8] He made his league debut on April 19 against MaPS in a 0-0 draw.[9] His first goal for the team came in a May 3 matchup against TPV, where he scored in the 38th minute, and then again in the 57th, completing the brace.[10] Cantrell registered another brace in a 5-0 win over Kerho 07 on May 24.[11] Cantrell finished the season with 14 goals, the second leading goal-scorer in the Kakkonen West group that year,[12] and Vasa IFK finished first in their group, earning a promotion to Ykkönen (second division) in 2015.
