Tsuyoshi Yoda (与田 剛, born December 4, 1965) is a Japanese professional baseball player and coach.
Yoda played for the Chunichi Dragons of Nippon Professional Baseball, debuting in 1990. After the 1990 season, Yoda played on a team of Japanese all-stars, opposing American all-stars.[1] In 1996, he signed with the San Diego Padres of Major League Baseball, and played in minor league baseball for the Memphis Chicks of the Class AA Southern League. However, elbow injuries limited him.[2] He returned to Japan to play for the Nippon-Ham Fighters of NPB in 1999.
Yoda served as a coach for the Japanese national baseball team in the 2009 World Baseball Classic.[3] He works as an analyst on baseball broadcasts for NHK.[2]
