Typhoon Bolaven

The name Bolaven has been used for three tropical cyclones in the western Pacific Ocean. The name, contributed by Laos, is a Laotian word for a mesa or a plateau.
- 2000's Severe Tropical Storm Bolaven (T0006, 11W, Huaning) - crossed the Ryūkyū Islands and brushed southern Japan.
- 2005's Severe Tropical Storm Bolaven (T0523, 24W, Pepeng) - hit the Philippines as a tropical storm.
- 2012's Typhoon Bolaven (T1215, 16W, Julian) - hit the Korea and Okinawa at Japan.
