Vincent Otieno aka Jamaica is a budding Kenyan striker currently turning out for Kenyan National Super League side Nairobi City Stars from August 2019.
The teenager is full of promise and is best known for take-ons, speed and a knack for turning around games with crucial goals.
He was spotted by City Stars technical bench led by head Coach Sanjin Alagic during a preseason shape up game at Ruaraka on Sat 27 July. Few days later he was slapped with a long term contract by the Kawangware-based club after either party agreed to his transfer. [1] [2] [3]
Despite being young and naive, Jamaica has already made his Kenyan National Super League debut after being brought in a substitute for Davis Agesa as City Stars took on newly promoted Vihiga Bullets at the Bukhungu Stadium, Kakamega on Mon 9 September, 2019.
His pace combined with the skill of another sub Oliver Maloba turned the game as they assisted a goal that ultimately won the game 2-1 with less than seven minutes left on the clock.
He picked up his second game on Fri 13 September, 2019 once again as a sub at City Stars were held to a 0-0 draw by visiting Vihiga United.
