WMAY (970 AM) is a radio station broadcasting a format serving the Springfield, Illinois area. The station is owned by Long Nine, Inc.[1]

Its principal competitor is WTAX.

History

WMAY played country before switching to an oldies format in the early 1990s and then to its current talk format in 1995. Its managing company, Mid-West Family Broadcasting, owns local stations WNNS-FM, WUSW, and WQLZ.
