Caraglio is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Cuneo in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 80 kilometres (50 mi) southwest of Turin and about 10 kilometres (6 mi) northwest of Cuneo. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 6,476 and an area of 41.5 square kilometres (16.0 sq mi).[1]
The municipality of Caraglio contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Vallera, Bottonasco, Paniale, Paschera San Carlo, Paschera San Defendente, and San Lorenzo.
Caraglio borders the following municipalities: Bernezzo, Busca, Cervasca, Cuneo, Dronero, Montemale di Cuneo, Valgrana.
