District A is a historic worker housing district located in Manchester, New Hampshire, near the former Amoskeag Manufacturing Company millyard. It is bounded by Pleasant, State, Granite, and Bedford Streets, and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on November 12, 1982. It contains 7 contributing properties covering an area of approximately 60 acres (24 ha).[2] The district is composed entirely of housing stock that was originally built for the Manchester Mills, which were eventually absorbed by the Amoskeag Company.

District A is located at the southern end of the historic former Amoskeag millyard, once one of the largest textile manufacturing companies in the world. It operated between 1831 and 1936.[3]
