District E is a historic worker housing district located in Manchester, New Hampshire, near the former Amoskeag Manufacturing Company millyard, at 258-322 McGregor Street on the west bank of the Merrimack River. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on November 12, 1982, and contains 5 contributing properties covering an area of approximately 13 acres (5 ha).[2]
District E is located near the west portion of the historic former Amoskeag millyard, once one of the largest textile manufacturing companies in the world. It operated between 1831 and 1936.[3]
