Aglepristone (INN) (brand name Alizine; former code names RU-46534, RU-534) is a steroidal antiprogestin (progesterone receptor full antagonist) related to mifepristone which is marketed by Virbac in several European countries for use in veterinary medicine.[1][2][3] It is specifically used as an abortifacient in pregnant animals.[1][3][4] Aglepristone, similarly to mifepristone, also possesses some antiglucocorticoid activity.[citation needed]
